Previous work

Expanded a Box Office to include a ticketing agency

Supported a Midlands based producing theatre Box Office through physical re-location and the adoption an existing agency ticketing service, exploring all the new procedures and relationships required and supporting key staff members through planning and decision making.

Established a new Box Office

Helped to establish a new Box Office for a large festival organisation including assisting with all job specifications, recruitment and mentoring of Box Office staff and working with the rest of the organisation to ensure all impacted staff felt confident with the new procedures and how responsibilities could be best allocated.

Audited and advised about best practice

Audited an established medium scale receiving venue Box Office to consider staffing levels, roles and responsibilities and made recommendations for refinements to improve effectiveness.

Gathered, devised and shared best practice

Visited Box Offices participating in a programme exploring and devising Box Office best practice for audience members with specific access needs throughout England. Concentrating on ensuring that Signed and Audio Described performances are clearly identified to audiences and that appropriate and sustainable data is captured and recorded to monitor long term success.  The project also aimed to excite and encourage new thinking and explore the variable and potentially complex customer care needs of these audiences.

Explored how Box Office fits into an organisation

Helped a large scale receiving organisation to consider where it would like the Box Office service within the structure and what wider role it could play to support marketing and fundraising activities.
